Taierzhuang ancient town, a popular scenic spot along the historic Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in Zaozhuang, Shandong province, hosted a series of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

The scenic spot was the site of the Battle of Taierzhuang in 1938, which marked the first major Chinese victory during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45).
