The 35th Lotus Flower Art Festival will be held at the World's Best Spring Scenic Area in Jinan, Shandong province from July 1 to Aug 5, offering visitors the chance to enjoy lotus horticulture art.

This year's event is themed around the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. More than 1,200 pots of lotus flowers, spanning more than 100 varieties, will be displayed.

Nearly 20 lotus fields in Daming Lake will be accessible for visitors. In addition, 13 lotus flowerbeds will be exhibited that focus on the spirits of the CPC, green ecology, and environmental protection.

Lotus flowers were identified as the city flower of Jinan in 1986 and have become an important brand to promote the city's culture.
