In recent years, Shandong Taishan Economic Development Zone in Tai'an city of East China's Shandong province has been ramping up efforts to attract investment, promote its business environment and bolster the upgrading of industries.

The city is focusing on developing its emerging industries such as high-end equipment manufacturing, new generation information technology, and modern tourism, increase investment in research and development and promote cooperation with universities and institutions.
