The Ministry of Education recently approved Shandong province's plans to carry out construction of a pilot zone for rural education revitalization, according to the Shandong Provincial Department of Education.

Shandong is required to explore reform experience and provide replicable practices for national revitalization of rural education efforts.

Shandong will launch a series of pilot tasks in kindergarten construction, rural campus building, improving rural education quality and facilities, rural primary and secondary school recruitment of student admission management, as well as other fields.

The Ministry of Education will support Shandong to introduce better trained teachers and principals, support the province in curricula construction with high-quality digital resources, as well as build a research center for rural education revitalization and development.
