East China's Shandong province is now home to seven intellectual property rights (IPR) protection centers, the most in the country, according to data released by the Shandong Administration for Market Regulation.
The IPR protection centers are involved in strategic emerging industries such as the marine industry, new-generation information technology, new materials, and photoelectricity.
In recent years, Shandong has made remarkable achievements in strengthening the protection of IPR, and a series of steps on the further protection of IPR have also been accelerated in terms of legislation, government agencies, and judicial departments. A one-stop business chain for IPR protection has also been set up in the province, offering full support to Shandong's IPR protection.
The IPR protection centers in Shandong have helped reduce the time required for reviewing trademarks and patents, and a total of 2,231 IPR patents for invention have been authorized in three months since 2020, which is much shorter than the time needed before. This helps the province promote technological innovation and create a better business environment.
