People pay tribute to revolutionary martyrs in Linyi

Print PrintAs the Qingming Festival, or the Tomb Sweeping Day -- a time when people customarily visit ancestors' graves to pay their respects -- approaches, the Yimeng Revolutionary Memorial Hall in Linyi, Shandong province, witnessed an influx of tourists paying tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the country.
The Yimeng Mountains area boasts a glorious revolutionary history. Ahead of the holiday, local residents paid homage to millions of Communist-led soldiers during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1931-45) and the following War of Liberation (1946-49).
The Yimeng Spirit which encompasses the virtues of being hardworking, self-improvement and selfless dedication has inspired generations of Chinese.
