Local authorities on Hailyu Island in Rongcheng, Shandong province have been ramping up environmental protection efforts to ensure that the island remains a good habitat for wildlife, with cutting-edge technologies being utilized to record data about local animals.From March to late April, tens of thousands of black-tailed gulls and yellow-billed egrets fly to the island to mate.
