Rizhao explores YRD cooperation opportunities in Shanghai

Rizhao, Shandong province hosted a business promotion event on March 25 in Shanghai to explore more cooperation opportunities in the prosperous Yangtze River Delta region.

More than 130 participants, including government officials, entrepreneurs, as well as representatives from business associations and investment agencies, took part in the event.

Agreements on a batch of projects were signed at the event. The newly-signed projects, spanning culture and tourism, high-end equipment manufacturing, automobile and auto parts, new energy and new materials, as well as medical care, will contribute to the high-quality development of Rizhao, said local officials.

A senior official from Rizhao gave a detailed introduction of Rizhao's ecological environment, traffic advantages, port economy, open platforms, and other advantages. 

They also promoted the city's advanced steel manufacturing, vehicle and spare parts, comprehensive energy, all-for-one tourism, new generation of information technology, aviation, modern sports, as well as other industries to facilitate cooperation with enterprises from Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region.

"Rizhao enjoys convenient exchange conditions with the Yangtze River Delta region and outstanding advantages in undertaking industrial spillover transfer from Shanghai," said Gao Hongyan, president of the Shandong Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.

"Rizhao's business policy, business philosophy, and business culture are worthy of praise. We will intensify efforts to help Rizhao better connect with Shanghai and integrate into the new development paradigm," added Gao.

"Rizhao is notable, both in terms of professionalism and productivity. I will drive more innovative projects from Shanghai and Shenzhen to Rizhao through my own channels and resources," said an entrepreneur from Suzhou.
