Traditional folk performances to celebrate Lantern Festival

A series of activities focusing on traditional Chinese folk culture will be held in Penglai district of Yantai on Feb 26 to celebrate the Lantern Festival.

The Lantern Festival (or Yuan Xiao Festival in Chinese), is a traditional Chinese festival of great significance that falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month. The festival marks the end of New Year celebrations.
