The Binzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone in East China's Shandong province secured 15 projects in Shenzhen on Jan 12, which will offer 2,000 jobs and are expected to generate 2.9 billion yuan ($448.15 million) in annual output.
The 15 projects focus mainly on the electronic information industry, including mobile phone manufacturing, electric medical devices, smart wearable devices, and intelligent bluetooth speakers.
The local government's efforts contributed to the settlement of the projects, and a special merchants group was set up to offer tailored services to enterprises.
"The gathering of upstream and downstream firms will generate an agglomeration effect, helping enterprises develop a complete industrial chain and reducing marketing costs," according to a manager of a Shenzhen company.
He added that Binzhou has a strong business environment and a good location, as well as a rich supply of raw aluminum. Additionally, its high-quality vocational education provides enterprises with strong talent, and its research institutions offer a great scientific research environment.
