Shandong promotes ties with Fortune 500 companies at CIIE

East China's Shandong province hosted a special event during the ongoing third China International Import Expo on Nov 6 to promote exchange and cooperation with Fortune Global 500 companies.

The event, entitled "Shandong in Dialogue with Fortune Global 500 on High-quality Industrial Chains Cooperation and Development", was jointly hosted by the Shandong Provincial People's Government, Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce and China Chamber of Commerce for the Import and Export of Machinery and Electrical Products.

Global leaders and China heads of 65 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders, including Bosch, Caterpillar, Liebherr, General Electric, Qualcomm, Siemens and Panasonic, attended the event and had in-depth talks with their Shandong-based counterparts.

Focusing on high-end manufacturing, industrial internet and new materials, the participants shared their insights into industrial chains, supply chains and spatial chains, and discussed future cooperation between Shandong and Fortune Global 500 companies.

Agreements for 15 projects in high-end manufacturing, new energy, biology, logistics, environmental protection and other fields were signed during the event, which are expected to deepen Shandong's ties with Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders, further open up the province, and fuel high-quality development, said local officials.
