Jinan deepens exchanges with transnational companies

A conference focusing on exchanges with transnational companies was held in Jinan, Shandong province on Oct 30, in an effort to promote greater levels of cooperation.

Representatives of the world's top 500 enterprises including Orix, Daimier, Siemens, and JPMorgan Chase & Co, as well as world-renowned enterprises in the fields of biopharmaceuticals and financial investment attended the conference.

During the event, Sun Shutao, mayor of Jinan, and Yin Qingzhong, deputy mayor of Jinan, had in-depth exchanges with participants about promoting cooperation with Jinan in the fields of finance, industry, and investment.

Sun made a keynote speech and introduced the development advantages and opportunities of Jinan from the aspects of industrial foundation, innovation impetus, business environment and development potential.

Jinan is speeding up its efforts to transform old growth drivers into new ones, the construction of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Jinan Area, and ecological protection among Yellow River Basin.

Sun said that the ideas that participants have put forward will greatly help promote the city's high-quality development.

Looking ahead, Jinan will promote an all-round, high-level opening up and improve government services and public infrastructure to further create a favorable business environment for overseas enterprises, Sun added.

He also expressed hope that overseas enterprises will give full play to their advantages in finance, industry, investment, talent, and management and bring more high-quality projects to Jinan.
