Around 3,000 impassioned runners laced up for the Rizhao marathon, which got underway on Oct 11 in Rizhao, Shandong province.

The 21-kilometer race started at Wanpingkou scenic area and ended at the Rizhao Beach National Forest Park, passing through several picturesque scenic spots such as Dongyi Town, Rizhao Ocean Park, and Peach Blossom Island.
