A cargo flight from New York landed at Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport on Sept 18, marking the opening of the airport's third cargo route to the United States.
The route is operated by China Southern Airlines and offers three flights per week. The flight takes around 14 hours, making it the longest direct cargo flight from Jinan.
The flight will mainly deliver cross-border e-commerce commodities and fresh products.
The airline will enhance trade connections between Shandong and America, allow trade enterprises in Jinan and its neighboring cities to ship goods more quickly, reduce transport costs, and increase trade profits.
The flight is expected to carry around 8,640 tons of cargo per year.
