Print PrintThe Shandong Foreign Affairs Office has taken a slew of measures to provide better services to market entities and further facilitate international exchanges and cooperation to improve the business environment and energize foreign investors.
In early March, the department set up a special working group to help foreign-funded enterprises resume production and operation.
It provided services to enterprises such as information and policy consulting and business promotion, as well as helped solve their difficulties in the supply and logistics of materials.
By cooperating with other departments, it set up "fast channels" to help companies attain urgently needed materials and facilitate the return of their technical personnel from foreign countries.
So far, the department has helped 806 foreign technicians from 103 companies in Shandong return to China.
According to the department, it has opened online channels to help local enterprises promote cooperation with foreign partners and launched online activities with sister cities, friendly organizations and Chinese embassies abroad to expand business opportunities.
The department has also been actively sharing information and experience regarding disease control with Shandong's friendly cities and organizations.
The department will continue to work with other departments and organizations to overcome difficulties, promote post-pandemic recovery and further cooperation with international partners, officials said.
