Zhang Xinwen, Party secretary of Heze city in China's eastern Shandong province, is set to put forward his proposal regarding new rural construction, as well as small town and new rural community construction.

Zhang, deputy to the 13th National People's Congress, said during an interview that he will make the proposal, which is of great importance to the development of Heze.

Zhang added that new rural construction, small town and new rural community construction are very important to promote rural civilization and realize rural modernization and rural revitalization.

He said much is expected of this year's two sessions -- as the country's goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all aspects is expected to be realized by the end of this year, which is also the final year of the country's 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20).
