A dazzling display of Shandong province's time-honored brands and unique intangible cultural heritage items are currently on display at the ongoing China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai.

This year, the CIIE is putting the spotlight on China's traditional culture as it introduces visitors to products and companies from around the world.

Shandong province's 23 time-honored brands as well as cultural legacies, are currently being showcased. This includes Dezhou braised chicken, Zhoucun sesame seed cake, Zibo ceramics, ejiao (donkey-hide gelatin, a traditional Chinese health product) and Jinan bazi rou (stewed streaky pork).

"These time-honored brands and distinctive delicacies allow us to promote our province's culture and raise its international profile," said Wei Wensheng, who is in charge of the Shandong exhibition.
