The SMEs Cooperation Forum of International Friendly Cities was held at Jinan's Shandong Hotel on Oct 16, aiming to enhance exchange and cooperation among SMEs in sister cities.

A total of 270 representatives from international sister cities and foreign enterprises and institutions as well as 230 representatives from SMEs in Shandong province attended the forum.

The forum was the only business trade activity to be featured at the 2019 Shandong International Friendship Cities Conference for Cooperation and Development.

It focused on business exchanges in high-end manufacturing, electronic information, marine science and technology, new materials, new energy and trade logistics.

Yu Jie, deputy governor of Shandong province, delivered a keynote speech at the forum, saying that the Shandong government attaches great importance to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the province.Yu expressed hope that entrepreneurs can use the forum to deepen cooperation and further promote high-quality development in Shandong province.

A memorandum to enhance exchanges and cooperation among SMEs was also signed at the forum.
