Benedict Bingham, country director of the Asian Development Bank, said, "I think this opening-up policy has shown advantages for the last forty years. It's vital to China's own development. Particularly at this stage, the world economy is shifting towards high-quality development. And as we have heard in the session just now, we will foster a new architecture of international cooperation multiple protocol. We will foster a great cooperation in this area."

When talking about expectations for the Qingdao Multinationals Summit, he said, "We can see the summit as a hope. I think it will continue to ensure China's opening-up strategy (is) a reform strategy. So we will continue to contribute to the transition into high quality development, and provide foundation for a greater and more harmonious international cooperation."
