A total of 131 works selected by galleries and cultural centers from Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and Liaoning provinces are displayed, with categories covering flowers and birds, landscape paintings and portraits, fully demonstrating the artistic achievements and exploration in traditional Chinese painting art in recent years.

Jointly organized by the Shandong provincial department of culture and tourism, the Beijing culture and art activity center, the Tianjin bureau of culture, radio and television, the Hebei provincial department of culture and tourism and the Liaoning Cultural Performing Arts Group, the event is designed to display the profound culture of the Bohai Economic Rim and its recent achievements in culture and art, as well as to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The exhibition will last until June 8.

The Bohai Economic Rim, also known as the Bohai Bay Economic Rim or the circum-Bohai Sea region, is the economic region surrounding Beijing and Tianjin. It also includes areas in Hebei, Liaoning, and Shandong provinces surrounding the Bohai Sea.

This region has undergone major economic changes and is an emerging economic powerhouse of northern China on par with the Pearl River Delta in the south and the Yangtze River Delta in the east.
