Tai'an promotes industrial cooperation with universities

agreements with Shandong University of Science and Technology and Qingdao
University on April 4 to promote university-enterprise cooperation in the
city.
The Shandong University of Science and Technology will jointly build a composite material research institute with the Tai'an Road Engineering Materials Co Ltd and the Taishan Fiberglass Inc in Tai'an city, while the Qingdao University will jointly build a textile and garment research institute with the Shandong Companion Group and the D&Y Textile and Garment Group.
Shandong University of Science and Technology and Qingdao University are key provincial comprehensive universities with outstanding faculty and competitive research strength and rich scientific research achievements. The two universities have their own specialties and strengths in research in the fields of composite materials and textile and garment industry.
Cui Honggang, Party secretary of Tai'an city, said that Tai'an will spare no efforts to promote university-industry collaborations with universities and research institutes in platform and carrier co-construction and sharing, talent training, transformation of scientific research achievement into products.
Cui said that the two research institutes will fuel the development of Tai'an city's composite materials and textile and garment industry, which will also advance the city's transformation of old and new growth drivers and high-quality development.
