President of Laos inspects Sun Paper branch

Bounnhang Vorachith, president of Laos paid an inspection tour to the Sun Paper branch company in Laos on March 10, accompanied by Li Hongxin, president of Sun Paper Group.

The visiting delegation inspected the company's wood preparation workshop, water treatment and other production sites as well as the finished paper pulp products.

Li introduced to the president the operations of the branch company. He said that it has an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of pulp and paper.

"The company is always the supporter and participant of local charitable and afforestation activities. It is committed to helping local people get out of poverty," said Li.

Li added that Sun Paper will increase investment in Laos and build more projects such as an annual production line of 800,000 tons of high-grade packaging paperboard and an annual production line of 400,000 tons of recycled fiber pulp. 

The company will intensify its cooperation with local organizations on afforestation programs. It will continue to implement the employee localization strategy and help to cultivate a group of high-quality and skilled Laotian employees, in a bid to make new contributions to local social and economic development.

President Bounnhang highly appreciated the efforts of the company and made positive comments regarding its future development plans. He hoped that it will work with local governments in poverty alleviation and contribute to the development of Laos.

Founded in 1982, the Shandong-based Sun Paper Group is a leading company in China's paper sector, ranked within the top 40 of the world's papermaking industry and is in the top 500 of Chinese companies.

Its leading products include high-grade coated packaging paperboard, high-grade art coated paper, high-grade office paper, household paper and high-grade industrial packaging paper.
