Qianfo Mountain Scenic Area, a renowned scenic spot in Jinan, Shandong province is to unveil its annual temple fair on the first day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, which falls on Feb 5 this year. 

The temple fair which will last until Feb 10, will stage a variety of traditional folk activities such as cross-talk, shadow plays and lantern shows.

Visitors can also experience some traditional celebrations of Chinese New Year to worship the "God of Wealth", wishing for good luck on the fifth day of the Chinese Lunar New Year. 

A dazzling array of tasty snacks including sugar-coated haws and special barbecue will be offered for visitors. They also have the chance to take in some on-site performances from folk craftsmen, including sugar painting, grass-weaving and dough modeling. 

The sides of the main road were decorated with more than a thousand red lanterns, presenting a picturesque view.
