Print PrintQingdao Port will continue to provide high-quality, efficient and convenient services for shipping companies and try to become a port of call for more ships with international standards, said Li Fengli, president of Qingdao Port Group during a recent meeting with Rolf Habben Jansen, CEO of Hapag-Lloyd AG in Shanghai.
"We commit to offer our customers a greater sense of gain through improving our services," Li said.
Hapag-Lloyd AG is a transnational German-based transportation company, whose container transport arm is currently the world's fifth largest container carrier in terms of vessel capacity.
Li said that Hapag-Lloyd is an important partner of Qingdao Port and the two sides have enjoyed a comprehensive friendly cooperative relationship.
In 2007 the two sides jointly held a dedication ceremony for the first voyage of the Qingdao Express, which established their deep friendship during the cooperation.
Jansen said that Qingdao Port enjoys a good reputation for its high efficiency and service quality.
He also mentioned that Qingdao Port created the highest automated operation efficiency on a Hapag-Lloyd vessel, which highlighted the strength that Qingdao Port has maintained over the years and that amazes the rest of the sector.
Qingdao Port and Hapag-Lloyd will strengthen coordination and cooperation to achieve more win-win results.
