Linuo, Martin Bauer join hands in formula granules production

Hongjitang Pharmaceutical of Shandong's Linuo Group and Germany's Martin Bauer Group signed a joint venture production agreement for traditional Chinese medicine granules at the Shandong-Bavaria Industrial Cooperation and Exchange Conference held in Munich, Bavaria, a southern state of Germany on Nov 13.

The conference was hosted by the Shandong provincial government and the Bavarian State Government.

Gao Yuankun, chairman and president of Linuo Group and Albert Ferst, general manager and director of Martin Bauer Group, signed the contract on behalf of both parties.

The project will take advantage of Martin Bauer Group's advanced technologies such as the supercritical extraction, membrane separation, preparative chromatography and its whole industry chain system to produce high-end formula granules. 

The project targets both domestic and international markets, and aims to promote traditional Chinese medicine to the world.

Germany is a major producer of botanical drugs, and is a world leader in the field in both production and research. It is the country with the largest number of listed botanical drugs in the world. 

The cooperation between the two companies is set to drive regional economic development, promote the development and innovation of the traditional Chinese medicine industry in Shandong province and the whole country, and become an important opportunity for Chinese traditional medicine to go global. 

Martin Bauer Group was founded in 1875 and headquartered in Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany. 

It has a history of more than 140 years in production, technology, research and development, innovation, experiment and certification of botanical drugs. It is one of the world's leading producers of botanical drugs and flower and herbal tea.
