Thanks to the Tmall Double Eleven Global Shopping Festival, rural women in Zibo, Shandong province engaging in the hand-made cotton-padded jacket industry are stepping up and preparing goods for the peak sales season online.

In recent years, the handmade cotton-padded jackets processed by local peasant women have been sold to all parts of the country through online e-commerce platforms, with annual sales volume exceeding 10,000 pieces, making this traditional handicraft skill a godsend for local women to increase incomes.

Nov 11, also known as the "bare sticks holiday" and a day originally meant for young people to celebrate being single, has become the world's largest 24-hour online shopping carnival.
