Shandong Cultural Industries Fair opens

The seventh Shandong Cultural Industries Fair opened in Jinan, capital of Shandong province on Oct 11, offering a feast of cultural legacies and creative products from around the world to local people.
Organized by the Shandong provincial government and the Jinan municipal government, the annual cultural event will last until Oct 15, with one main venue at the Jinan International Exhibition and Convention Center and 36 parallel venues all over the city such as Mingfucheng, Baihuazhou and Yingxiongshan culture market, in a bid to reach out to more people and gain greater interaction with local residents.
A variety of cultural exhibitions and performances will also be held in residential communities and rural areas.
Themed on "new era, new growth drivers, new creativity and new development", the fair covers an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters, gathering more 1,253 exhibitors and enterprises with more than 2,000 booths.
This year the fair invites more foreign exhibitors as it has passed the qualification certification of Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.
Designed with nine exhibition areas, this year's fair highlights the achievements of integration development of "cultural + " strategy.
A total of 47 activities will be held during the fair, including 24 forums on cultural industries, the "Mount Tai Cup" cultural and creative design competition and the Jinan public service advertising contest.
From Oct 13 to 14, people can visit a large-scale cultural bazaar at Yingxiongshan culture market, meanwhile calligraphy and painting fanatics will have an opportunity to appreciate renowned Chinese and western style paintings, calligraphy works and sculptures.
