Shi Chenglong, a student from Tai'an, Shandong province, has gained a chance to attend the 45th WorldSkills Competition (WSC) set to take place in Kazan, Russia, in 2019.

Shi who came in fourth place of the plastic mold group contest at a national selection competition for the WSC held in Guangdong, has gained himself a ticket to the national training team. If he performs well, he stands a chance to attend the WSC as part of the China team.

Shi is the first person in Shandong to win such an honor.

"I have faith in myself. But the final result was still beyond my expectations. However, personal achievements mean nothing. I will keep on studying hard to win the opportunity to represent my country and to compete in the WSC," said Shi.
