JINAN -- China's leading cloud computing and big data service provider Inspur has trained more than 10,000 IT professionals in cooperation with India's UPTEC over the past decade, said a source with Inspur.

A joint venture set up by Inspur, based in East China's Shandong province, and UPTEC in 2008 introduces an advanced software talent training system to 42 Chinese universities.

Information technology and internet-based solutions such as smart cities and online education should serve more countries to deliver benefits to more people, said Sun Pishu, chairman and CEO of Inspur Group.

China's information technology sector is developing rapidly. The country's information services sector saw a 76.4-percent annual growth in 2017, official data showed.

Information technology is a very popular major among Chinese students. The country's demand for talent in areas such as artificial intelligence is increasing with its economic restructuring.

Inspur provides IT products and services to 113 countries and regions around the world. It also carries out technical training programs overseas.
