Yantai city of Shandong province won the five-star award for outstanding performance in boosting China's exhibition and convention industry and was also named an "Annual Excellent Exhibition City" during the 12th Expo Investment Fair for International Exhibition Cooperation in Beijing on May 10.

Last year, Yantai hosted more than 100 exhibitions, including the Marine Economic Innovation Forum for Northeast Asia Region and 2022 China Marine Economic Forum, the 2022 World Industrial Design Conference, the 20th Yantai International Equipment Manufacturing Industry Exhibition and the International Conference on Pharmaceutical Innovation and Development.

The city had also ensured the smooth hosting of events such as the Yantai International Auto Show and the 2022 Yantai International Wine Festival during the COVID-19 pandemic period.

Next, Yantai will further enhance the level of brand exhibitions, focus on key industrial chains such as dual carbon goals, industrial design, industrial internet, biomedicine and wine, and cultivate a batch of brand exhibitions with local characteristics and qualities.

The city will also enhance cooperation with relevant departments and industrial associations, hold large-scale international brand exhibitions, expand the scale of the industry, fuel the development of market-oriented exhibitions and build an exhibition brand with high popularity and influence.
