Yantai enterprises blaze new trails during Canton Fair

With 276 exhibition booths, a total of 176 enterprises from the Yantai trading group are participating in the 133rd China Import and Export Fair, which is being held from April 15 to May 5 in Guangzhou, Guangdong province.
This year, the China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, has fully resumed on-site exhibitions and normalized the operation of online platforms with breakthroughs in scale, products, quality and concept. It adopts the integrated mode of online and offline exhibitions and is divided into three phases.
The Yantai-based Red 100 Lighting Co Ltd has set up four brand booths in the first phase with lighting products and lamps in five categories: home furnishing, industry, commerce, roads and outdoors. Its solar powered street lamps and wall lamps are debuting at the fair.
By relying on the Canton Fair's trade platform, the company has received orders of more than 200 million yuan ($29.03 million) and is looking forward to grabbing more orders with greater breakthroughs.
Laizhou Hongyuan Vise Manufacturing Co Ltd is operating four brand booths during the first phase of the fair. The company produces 20 series of vise products in more than 200 specifications and 12 types of fixture products with 80 specifications. Its products are mainly exported to countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and Russia.
At this year's Canton Fair, the company has exhibited more than 50 vise products and 20 fixture products, of which new products accounted for 20 percent. It aimes to seek cooperation with domestic and international buyers and distributors.
Since the first phase, 61 exhibitors from the Yantai trading group have negotiated with 800 batches of buyers from more than 60 countries and over 1,000 batches of domestic buyers. The deals have amounted to a total of $113 million and the number of online clicks for e-exhibitions by all Yantai exhibitors has totaled 70,000 thus far.
The Yantai commerce bureau plans to guide enterprises to seize opportunities, strengthen brand promotion and construct a strong foreign trade city in the future.
This year's Canton Fair is divided into three phases. The first phase took place from April 15 to 19, and exhibited various types of machinery, electronic appliances, lighting, vehicles and auto parts, agricultural machinery, hardware tools, building materials and chemical products. The second phase takes place from April 23 to 27, and the third phase takes place from May 1 to 5, and will mainly display medicines, office stationery, luggage, leisure products, textiles and clothing, footwear and food.
