A Russian business delegation visited East China's Shandong province from April 6 to 8, and they achieved fruitful results during their visit.

Thirty-five items of intended cooperation were achieved in the fields of import and export trade, foreign investment, logistics, education, and tourism, with an intended trade volume amounting to 3.74 billion yuan ($546.33 million).

The business delegation was led by the Russian Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises, which was one of the largest business associations in Russia, and has established overseas representative offices in 26 countries across the globe.

Representatives from Chelyabinsk and Novgorod provinces in Russia introduced the economic and social development in the two provinces, and they said that they looked forward to further strengthening communication and deepening exchanges and cooperation with Shandong.

Representatives from nearly 40 import and export enterprises in Russia visited Shandong's leading industrial equipment, automobile spare parts, construction and building materials, food and agricultural products, and logistics firms. 

On April 7, the delegation visited Yantai, Shandong to learn more about the city's natural environment, history and culture, opening-up, and industrial development.

The president of the Russian Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises said that Yantai boasts a good location, complete industrial system and sound business environment, which helps Russia and Yantai maintain close cooperative relations. He expressed his hope that the two sides can utilize their own advantages and deepen exchanges between small and medium-sized enterprises to support more Russian enterprises that want to invest in Yantai.
