High-level talent conference to kick off in Yantai

The 2023 China International Talent Exchange Conference (Peninsula Branch) will be held in the coastal city of Yantai in East China's Shandong province from April 17 to 19, according to news released at a press conference held on April 10.

The China International Talent Exchange Conference was initiated in 2001 and 20 editions have been held. It is an international and comprehensive exhibition, which has played an important platform for the country to attract high-level talents from home and abroad. The 21st edition will be held in Shenzhen, Guangdong province on April 15 and 16.

The Peninsula Branch will run under the theme of "Innovation, integration, collaboration, and win-win results". It will be held both online and offline, with a wide range of colorful activities available for attendees.

The organizing committee will also launch a tour to Shandong province for overseas experts, aiming to deepen the mutual trust between Shandong and other countries, as well as to deepen practical cooperation. A number of foreign experts will share their topics and views on international talent exchanges, while various negotiation activities and matchmaking talks will be carried out.

A special session for intelligent maritime equipment manufacturing between China and Russia will be held during this year's Peninsula Branch, which will promote cooperation and exchanges between the two countries in areas like shipbuilding, marine scientific research, as well as the research and development of marine equipment.

The Peninsula Branch will also launch a sub-forum on the integrated development between photoelectricity and chemical engineering. The sub-forum will have an in-depth exploration of the latest technology and research direction of the integrated development between photoelectricity and chemical engineering, which will help Shandong accelerate its pace in making breakthroughs of cutting-edge technologies and key generic technologies in related fields.

Yantai will promote its biomedical industry during the Peninsula Branch, while a number of experts and scientists will deliver keynote speeches, which are expected to help Yantai promote the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements related to the biomedical industry.
