Yantai cherries are famous for their large size, bright color, sweet and juicy taste, and high nutritional value.

The brand value of Yantai cherries has reached 5.37 billion yuan ($798.44 million). In May 2021, Yantai cherries were selected among China's top 20 most popular regional public brands of cherries.

Yantai was one of the first places in China to start planting and cultivating cherries, and now produces a large annual high-quality output. In China, it accounts for 70 percent of the total cherry plantation area and 80 percent of the total cherry production.
