The festival's centerpiece is a series of spectacular kite-flying events that blend tradition and innovation. Renowned kite masters from around the globe will compete in championship tournaments, showcase creative designs, and participate in large-scale aerial performances. The grand kite-flying event on April 19-20 will feature thousands of colorful kites soaring in a breathtaking display. Adding a musical twist, the Weifang Kite Music Festival will combine live performances with stunning kite displays, creating a unique fusion of sound and sky.

Beyond the skies, the festival offers rich cultural and tourism experiences. Visitors can explore Weifang's intangible cultural heritage, watch master artisans at work, savor local delicacies at food festivals, and enjoy dynamic artistic performances. Additionally, the festival will serve as a major economic and trade hub, hosting investment matchmaking events to foster business partnerships and attract top talent to the region.

The official opening ceremony will take place at the World Kite Park in Anqiu, a scenic 6,000-mu 400-hectare venue that will also host pre-festival activities, including a self-driving tour, a peach blossom festival, and a cycling challenge, all setting the stage for the grand celebration.

This year's event also introduces two new mascots, "Yufeng" and "Wangtian", inspired by traditional Chinese dragons and phoenixes. Symbolizing harmony, ambition, and aspirations that soar ever higher, these mascots embody the spirit of the festival.
