In November 2011, Songyuan invested $11.24 million to establish Sibiryles Ltd in Tomsk, Russia. The company covers 251,000 square meters, with a floor area of 31,300 square meters, and focuses on timber harvesting, processing, and transportation. In 2011, Sibiryles signed a 49-year forest harvesting contract with the Russian Federation, with a harvesting area of 110,000 hectares and an annual capacity of 280,000 cubic meters.
