This first-ever authoritative list, published by the China Enterprise Evaluation Association, recognized the top companies excelling in digital-physical integration. BYD, BOE Technology Group Co and Midea secured the top three spots, while Weichai Power and GoerTek from Weifang also made the list.
"Digital-Physical Integration" integrates the digital economy with the rest of the economy by leveraging technologies like the internet, big data, cloud computing, and AI to align digital advantages with the needs of traditional industries. Of the companies on the list, 40 percent focus on industrial digitalization, while 61 percent offer smart manufacturing products or services, highlighting the role of digital-physical integration in driving new industrialization.
Shandong has prioritized the integration of the real and digital economies to drive new industrialization. Shandong has established the National Industrial Internet Development Demonstration Zone, created the first national center for SME digital transformation, and achieved an 87.3 percent digital transformation rate for large industrial enterprises. It also leads the nation with 46 national-level industrial internet platforms and 35 smart factories, fueling high-quality economic growth.
