Tai'an city in East China's Shandong province held an international precision procurement matching conference during the Canton Fair, the country's largest trade event, currently being held in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province. The event aimed to make use of the spillover effects of the Canton Fair and to build a bridge for in-depth face-to-face negotiations between Tai’an city's foreign trade enterprises and buyers from various countries.

At the conference, Fan Na from the city's commerce bureau introduced the industrial development advantages and basic foreign trade situation of Tai'an to the international buyers present.

Fan expressed hope that both suppliers and buyers could cooperate better through trust and sincere communication, deepen mutual understanding, and facilitate contract signing. Tai'an plans to expand markets innovatively, seizing global opportunities in the green and digital economies with new models and formats.

The matching conference invited over 40 foreign buyers from more than 20 countries and organized 61 foreign trade enterprises from Tai'an to participate. Preliminary cooperation intentions were reached on over 20 items, with an intended transaction volume of approximately $2 million. This initiative helped enterprises capitalize on the opportunities presented by the Canton Fair, diversify their international market development, and continue to forge ahead amidst adversity.
