"Climbing Taishan Mountain used to be exhausting, but now it feels like I'm riding on a flying carpet!" Amidst the beautiful spring scenery of Taishan Mountain, tourists can often be seen wearing silver mechanical equipment while walking briskly up the mountain.

The latest climbing exoskeleton robot, which operates on the principles of bionics and AI algorithms, provides leg assistance to climbers. With a single charge lasting up to five hours and covering a distance of approximately 14 kilometers, it is sufficient for an average person to ascend Taishan Mountain in one go.

Taishan Mountain Scenic Area saw a strong start to the year. Data shows that from January to February this year, it received a total of 796,800 visitors, representing a 33.7 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024. The integration of technology continues to bring new and innovative experiences to this sacred mountain.

In the digital experience hall at the foot of Taishan Mountain, young people wearing virtual reality (VR) glasses can "fly with a sword" as they explore the myths of Taishan Mountain.

A tourist named Zhao Zihua, in his twenties, just finished a fantasy adventure, "The feeling is so real! The 'cultivation' plot and various interactive games help me to more deeply explore the mysteries of Taishan Mountain!"

"We use the humanistic charm, folklore, and myths of Taian city as our creative canvas, combining cutting-edge technologies such as AI, VR interaction, and glasses-free 3D to provide visitors with a three-dimensional experiential space," said Wang Houzhe, deputy secretary of the Party committee of Taishan  Cultural Tourism Group.

Wang added that a visit to the mountain is not only a journey of cultural exploration, but also of mutual empowerment between tradition and modernity.

The advanced technology is just an innovative way to promote Taishan Mountain culture. This millennium-old cultural mountain is sparking new ideas through the use of modern technology.
