Intl photographers capture Tai'an's charm
A group of 25 world-renowned photographers of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) from countries including China, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and Spain recently embarked on a photographic journey in Tai'an, Shandong province.
On Dec 11, they were fortunate to witness a rare winter wonderland as Mount Tai was adorned with a stunning layer of rime frost. They captured breathtaking images of the majestic mountain, its peaks shrouded in clouds, creating a truly picturesque scene.

Following their visit to the mountain, the photographers immersed themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Tai'an by visiting the Daimiao Temple, located at the foot of Mount Tai. They were captivated by the ancient trees, vermilion walls, and gray tiles that have stood there for centuries.

The photographers also had the unique opportunity to experience Tai'an shadow puppetry firsthand. Fan Zheng'an, a national-level intangible cultural heritage practitioner, demonstrated the intricate art of shadow puppetry, which has a history of over 600 years. The photographers were fascinated by the art form and had the chance to try their hand at puppetry behind the scenes.
