Tai'an promotes cultural tourism development through integration
Tai'an is promoting the high-quality development of cultural tourism through deepening the integration of ideas, industries, promotion, and services to drive this progress effectively.
Focusing on online promotion and offline attraction, Tai'an has hosted 12 live shows with eight international art teams and 218 foreign artists at scenic spots like Mount Tai and Tianping Lake.
Marketing activities in France, Switzerland, South Korea, Japan, and beyond, along with hosting cultural tourism promotion events in European and East Asian cities, have elevated Tai'an and Mount Tai's global reputation.
In recent years, Tai'an has woven the concept of integration into aspects of its cultural tourism industry development. This concerted effort has driven the continuous improvements of cultural tourism products, formats, and models, leading to a significant improvement in development quality and effectiveness.
In the first three quarters of this year, Tai'an saw 73.12 million domestic tourists and 74.43 billion yuan ($10.23 billion) in tourism revenue, reflecting growth rates of 11.56 percent and 13.63 percent respectively.
Moreover, the number of international tourists overnighting in Tai'an increased by 145.4 percent year-on-year. The cultural tourism industry achieved an added value of 24.68 billion yuan, accounting for 9.1 percent of the city's GDP, an increase of 0.2 percentage points compared to the previous year.
