Digital economy spurs Tai'an's high-quality growth
The Inspur Intelligent Terminal (Xintai) Industrial Base began operations in Xintai, Shandong's Tai'an, on Nov 27.
The project, invested and constructed by Inspur Intelligent Terminal Co Ltd, has a total investment of 500 million yuan ($67 million). Upon reaching full production capacity, it will be able to produce over 50,000 various intelligent terminal products annually, outputting over 1 billion yuan.
"The excellent business environment and the professionalism of the relevant departments really impressed us," said Sun Yezhi, chairman of Inspur Intelligent Terminal. During the construction of the center, the local government provided significant assistance in terms of factory buildings, land, funds, and supporting infrastructure. It took less than 10 months to go from the initial survey to the official commencement of the project.
Less than 500 meters away from the Inspur Intelligent Terminal factory, Xingtai Ultra HD Factory officially went into operation on the same day. Here, the new display production line project is jointly invested and constructed by Xintai Mingxing Group and Inspur Intelligent Terminal.
The successful establishment of Inspur Intelligent Terminal serves as the epitome of Tai'an riding the wave of the digital economy, constructing a new digital intelligence industry highland.
Building upon the industrial foundation, the local area actively leverages its comparative advantages, initially cultivating the three major industrial sectors of software and information technology services, artificial intelligence, and intelligent equipment manufacturing.
Currently, the industry value chain of Tai'an's digital economy boasts 30 national-level high-tech enterprises, four national-level specialized and new "little giant" enterprises, and two Shandong provincial single champion enterprises. It also boasts over 1,250 invention patents, over 560 utility model patents, and more than 1,700 computer software copyrights.
The latest data shows that from January to October this year, the core industries of the digital economy in Tai'an achieved an added value of 14.64 billion yuan, with a growth rate of 71.2 percent.
