Tai'an's Feicheng makes on national economic rankings

The county-level city of Feicheng in Tai'an, East China's Shandong province is among China's top 100 counties in terms of economy, according to a list released by Zhongjun Research Institute, a national professional research institution for county economy.
Of the top 24 counties for basic competitive strengths, 16 are from Shandong, with Feicheng, Tai'an being one of them.
The monitoring and evaluation content of China's top 100 counties includes the basic competitive strengths of county-level economies, the basic index of modern high-quality development of a county, and the comprehensive development index of county economy and social development.
In recent years, Feicheng has closely focused on the theme of green, low-carbon, and high-quality development, making industrial economy a top priority project.
The city is advancing its industrial development towards higher quality and new breakthroughs. Data shows that in the first half of this year, Feicheng achieved a regional GDP of 47.36 billion yuan ($6.54 billion), a year-on-year increase of 6.2 percent. From January to August, its general public budget realized revenue of 3.71 billion yuan and a tax revenue of 3.24 billion yuan, both ranking first among counties and cities in Tai'an.
