Digital economy soars in Tai'an

Tai'an in East China's Shandong ranked 81st on the top 100 cities in the 2024 Digital Economy made by market research institute CCID Consulting on Nov 27.
CCID Consulting comprehensively assessed the level of digital industrialization, industrial digitalization, the vitality of digital economic development, and the value of data for 337 cities in China this year, and scientifically formulated an evaluation system.
Tai'an city has been building upon its industrial foundation and developing industries represented by companies like Inspur Software and Zhongzhi Electronics in software and information technology services, artificial intelligence represented by Baidu's labeling base and iFLYTEK's Smart Valley, intelligent equipment manufacturing represented by Yolocar, as well as satellite rockets represented by China Spacesat and Oriental Space.
The digital economic industrial value chain currently includes 30 national-level high-tech enterprises, four national-level specialized and innovative "little giant" enterprises, two provincial-level individual champion enterprises, eight provincial-level gazelle enterprises, and 31 provincial-level specialized and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises.
Since this year, the digital economic industrial value chain has signed contracts for 35 key projects, broke ground on 34 projects, and put 16 projects into effect, which added new impetus and consolidating new advantages.
