Tai'an's processing and trade exports reached 142 million yuan ($19.73 million) in the first two months of this year, a 10.48-percent year-on-year increase, thanks to the efforts made by Tai'an Customs to promote high-quality development.

The efforts include supporting enterprises in accelerating transformation and upgrading, refining relief measures for 43 key processing and trade enterprises, conducting foreign trade data analysis and evaluation, assisting companies in expanding overseas markets, visiting 31 processing and trade enterprises, and resolving 12 difficult issues. 

"Focusing on the innovative and green development of the new materials industrial chain, we followed the requirements proposed by new quality productive forces to help enterprises innovate in areas such as information technology, artificial intelligence, and green design and address production challenges," according to the supervision department of Tai'an Customs. 

From January to February, the import and export of new materials in the customs' jurisdiction saw a 108-percent year-on-year increase to 192 million yuan.

The company has received strong support from Tai'an Customs in issues related to export activities, such as simplifying its declaration procedures, said Zhang Baoli, general manager of the company. In 2023, the company's annual processing and trade import and export volume reached 104 million yuan, a 142-percent year-on-year increase.
