Tai'an in East China's Shandong province has made significant strides in accelerating the transformation of old growth drivers into new ones, digital transformation and green low-carbon development.

The rapid development of the lithium battery industry stands as a testament to the high-quality development of the new energy sector in Tai'an. Following the establishment of a "Lithium Valley", the city now has 30 lithium battery-related enterprises. A complete lithium battery industrial chain covering lithium salt processing, cathode and anode materials production, auxiliary materials manufacturing, battery assembly, and the recycling of waste batteries, has taken shape.

Tai'an has made significant strides in terms of green low-carbon development as well. As of the end of November, the installed capacity of new energy in Tai'an had reached 4.9 million kW, accounting for more than 56 percent of the total power installed.

The city's digital economy has also grown considerably due to digital transformation.

To facilitate green low-carbon development, Tai'an has strengthened ecosystem protection and restoration while actively promoting green low-carbon development in key sectors.

Through its efforts in new energy industrialization, digital transformation, and green low-carbon development, Tai'an is paving the way for sustainable growth and positioning itself as a model for other cities striving for a greener and more advanced future.
