A signing ceremony for a Mount Tai culture, tourism, and fitness center project was held on Nov 27 in Tai'an, Shandong province.

The project, which is located west of Changcheng Road and south of Panhe Park, will feature parks, commercial facilities and a host of other amenities.

Tai'an has in recent years been committed to promoting integrated development of cultural and tourism industry through the implementation of key projects, said Yang Hongtao, Party secretary of Tai'an.

For example, the city has created a series of independent IP brand events like the Mount Tai International Mountain Climbing Race. This integration of culture, sports, and tourism has laid the foundation for the city's development of a holistic cultural and tourism industry.
