Xintai, a county-level city in Tai'an, has signed agreements for a sports town project that will become the first national-level public fitness center in the city.

The project is located in the core area of Xintai and covers about 1.85 hectares. Backed by an investment of 30 million yuan ($4.1 million), the project will integrate sports, culture and health offerings.

The new complex will have a swimming center, a sports retail center, an arts and sports education center, a sports-themed district, a health and wellness center, and a sports and fitness center. Other amenities include sports-themed restaurants, casual dining bars and businesses that will support the nighttime economy.

The project will also feature sports fashion retail, outdoor sports equipment, and professional coaching resources.

Furthermore, a "big health" platform will be established to introduce service brands and formats related to children's and parents' healthcare.
