Tai'an sees cultural tourism boom during holiday

Statistics showed that during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday from Sept 29 to Oct 6, a total of 20 monitored tourism attractions, including A-level scenic spots, new types of tourism attractions, and rural tourism areas in Tai'an received 1.98 million visitors, soaring 137.58 percent year-on-year, and total revenue of the reached 90.47 million yuan, surging 212.93 percent year-on-year.

The Mount Tai Scenic Area received a total of 456,400 visitors, surging 589.84 percent year-on-year, while the Dongping Water Margin Studio City received 216,300 visitors over the holiday.

The Shigandang Cultural Park has seen an increase in popularity this year, thanks to its abundant folk culture, large cultural performances and experiential projects.

In addition, Jiunv Peak and Tianping Lake camping grounds, which integrate sightseeing, camping, family activities, and recreation, have become a new tourism destination.

During the same period, 165,200 people arrived via the Taishan Railway Station, a year-on-year increase of 594.73 percent, while 180,100 people left via the station, a year-on-year increase of 565.83 percent.

Tai'an saw 120,100 people using its roads, a 121.66-percent increase year-on-year, while 563,700 cars entered Tai'an through highway exits, a year-on-year increase of 124.07 percent.

To optimize travel and parking during the holiday, Tai'an has introduced 1,262 temporary parking spaces in nine sections of seven major and minor roads. Additionally, 25 temporary parking areas with 1,948 parking spaces have been set up, creating a total increase of 3,210 parking spaces.
