2023 China Logistics Development Tai'an Forum held
The 2023 China Logistics Development Tai'an Forum kicked off in Tai'an, Shandong province on April 20.
Famous entrepreneurs and experts from the logistics and supply chain industry across the country gathered together to discuss issues covering policies, technologies, practical experience, and other aspects of China's logistics industry.
Hosted by the Tai'an Municipal Bureau of Commerce and the Shandong Logistics and Transportation Association, the forum is themed on "green, shared, and digital", and focuses on accelerating the development of multimodal transportation and cold chain logistics.
The forum aims to discuss how logistics enterprises integrate into national logistics hubs and comprehensive freight hubs, rely on transportation corridors, and improve multimodal transportation service capabilities and facility equipment technology to better safeguard the stable industrial chain and food safety.
Since the strategy of invigorating the city through a new form of industrialization implemented in 2022, the Tai'an municipal government has attached great importance to the development of the logistics industry. As of the end of 2022, a total of 1,704 logistics industry market entities settled in the city, including 59 logistics enterprises above designated size with revenue of 4.95 billion yuan ($718 million), a year-on-year increase of 5.6 percent. On top of that, the total amount of social logistics reached 1.07 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.7 percent.
The forum is bringing valuable experiences to the modern logistics industry, and providing great influence on building a smooth modern logistics system for Tai'an.
